OUR OLIVE GROVES CULTURE AND HOMEGROWN PRODUCTION

More than 120,000 trees of the arbequina, picual, cuquillo and cornicabra varieties.

On the farming estate Barahonda Casa de Torregrosa, we cultivate over 80 hectares of olive trees, which it translates into more than 120,000 trees of the arbequina, picual, cuquillo and cornicabra varieties.

In order to obtain the best olive oil extra virgin, we supervise the whole process of growth of the olive tree straight from planting, taking care of the correct development of roots, trunks, branches, leaves, and of course the most important flowering stages, fruit set and final fruit, avoiding any pest which may affect their growth.

We also activate and follow a comprehensive and exhaustive control of the fruit during the flowering process, fruit setting and the later ripening on the tree to get the olive reaching the optimal time to be harvested with all its physical qualities intact, and all of it with the sole purpose of being able to obtain an olive oil with a bright and intense green color, and a unique aromatic flavor.

It is important to emphasize that we practice agriculture with a very limited use of fertilizers and pesticides, this also contributes to the conservation of the environment, and it allows us to develop a healthier and natural extra virgin olive oil.

Finally, we have to emphasize that we choose the optimum moment of the ripening of the olives for harvesting; we conducted an early and staggered harvest for each variety, making sure that the fruits do touch the ground (to prevent being contaminated with soil -which flavor will transferred later to the oil-).

If to all of these we add having our own oil press within a few hundred meters of olive trees, it enables us to reach the production process with a completely healthy product and with all its organoleptic properties.
